Tips To Choose The Right School For Your Children

Parenting is hard, but you know it gets even harder when you have to decide which school your child should go to. In first 2-3 years, you are not conscious about the education of your child.

As soon as your child starts talking the first thing that crosses your mind is the school of your child.

There are a lot of options for schools but parents these days are inclined towards international schools. Two decades ago there were only 1000 international schools across the globe, but now there are 8000 international schools with at least 4.3 million students enrolled.

The percentage of international schools has increased over the years, and in UAE the growth spurt is vast.

According to estimates of 2013, there was 6.3% growth in the number of international schools.

For example, if you search Best British schools in Dubai, you will find few schools with British curriculum or system of education. UAE has been ranked 1st in the Middle East for a number of international schools.

Why is this tremendous change? Have you wondered why there is a sudden demand for international schools in all parts of the world?

It is because these schools provide the education which fulfills the need of today.

“SCHOOL IS THE SECOND MOST IMPORTANT DECISION YOU WILL MAKE AS A PARENT- THE FIRST IS, OF COURSE, THE DECISION OF HAVING A CHILD”

With these many options for schooling, it is hard to pick the right school for your child. But there cannot be a list of what is right and wrong as each parent has different choice or demands in the schooling.

Here are few things you can look for when choosing a school for your child:

TEACHERS

Teachers are the deciding factors of any school as teachers are the building block for any institution. Having said that if any school has teachers who not only concentrating on providing the knowledge of giving lectures to the student but also work on the development of the student, then the school is worth it.

How do you judge if teachers are good at any school?

There are several ways to do that like ask some random students, give a sudden visit to the classroom, or maybe meet parents of some children who are already enrolled in school. Do the necessary thing to make sure that school has quality teachers.

Teachers are the catalyst for significant knowledge and talent enhancement of the children.

CURRICULUM

The second thing you should look for in a school is the curriculum school. School should have a standardized curriculum for each standard. The standardized curriculum should not provide comprehensive knowledge about the present class but also prepare students for the next level. Best British schools in Dubai have the curriculum which is standardized to British educational standard.

Curriculum matters in any education but be mindful about the all components of the curriculum are well developed. Some schools might have written upfront that it is standardized, but it might not be.

I have experienced this, and that is why I am alerting you.

AMBIANCE

When you enter a school, the first thing which catches your attention is the atmosphere of the school, and you want the atmosphere of the school to be positive and vibrant.

There is a blur borderline between vibrant and loud. Vibrant is pleasant to eyes and ears, but loud is irritating.

The ambiance should give you a positive vibe all through. If the school environment is positive and supportive, then children should be able to learn more efficiently.

SECURITY

No one would want your child to be at risk in any way possible. A good school system such as Best British schools in Dubai must have a robust security system.

The children are vulnerable to outsiders and other security-related issues. Schools give a notion of safety to parents and teachers, so you never know when something unexpected happens. The situation can become worse if the school is not prepared to handle the unexpected situations.

Having a TOP-NOTCH security in a school is a MUST-HAVE.
